Job Description This position is considered an SME (Subject Matter Expert) position and provides technical support on Fixed Equipment Inspection to both major capital projects and existing facility teams focused on improving fixed equipment integrity and reliability Job Responsibilities Facilitating Risk Based Inspection (RBI) assessments The development of fixed equipment asset strategies using various engineering and NDE techniques The development of fixed equipment integrity programs Identifying and providing solutions to inspection issues Conducting a range of qualitative, semi-quantitative, quantitative risk assessments, and developing mitigation and monitoring plans SME will consult with business units to evaluate BU needs and recommend/implement solutions. This includes the evaluation of risk and potential business impact Up to 30% travel, domestically and internationally. Trips are typically 2-3 weeks in length, particularly overseas travel. Job Requirements Demonstrated working knowledge of corrosion/damage mechanism: Including process requirements, materials selection, failure analysis and interpretation and analysis of inspection data RBI technical knowledge: Knowledge of process industry specifications. Experience with equipment risk ranking studies, determination of damage mechanisms and response to driving risks. Capable of critiquing the design and execution of existing RBI programs. Ability to develop and deploy RBI training NDE technical knowledge: Including NDE principles and tool selection, interpretation of inspection data, critique, design, and execution of field NDE tests. Knowledge of and experience with field construction and fabrication shop QA/QC controls.
