Job Description: As a Quality Assurance Director, you’ll work within the Buying team and be responsible for managing a diverse range of food and non-food commodity groups. You will manage the team that liaises with our nominated Technical Service Providers and Buyers to ensure products meet our quality, safety and legal standards. In addition to this you'll organise panels for testing, co-ordinate meetings with suppliers and put in place the processes and procedures that help Aldi make well-informed purchasing decisions. Work with international quality assurance colleagues to support the ongoing development and implementation of the Quality strategy both locally and globally. Job Requirements: 2:1 Degree in food science, food technology, food engineering, health and nutrition or microbiology is essential. Experience in a similar field, such as food retail, food manufacturing or food wholesale. Retail or supplier food experience. Confident communicator and team player. Experience managing and leading teams and external stakeholders, such as third-party technical service providers.
