Job Description: The Digital Product Designer is responsible for imagining and designing digital customer experiences for Indigo.ca, focusing on shopping and purchase journeys. This role collaborates closely with passionate cross-functional scrum team members, with a primary focus of creating Best-in-Class digital experiences for customers and employees. Job Responsibilities: Lead the design of product and feature development from start to finish; including customer journey mapping, scenario creation, pixel perfect mocks and prototypes for all digital channels (desktop, tablet and mobile) Contribute to design research initiatives, ethnographic research, personas, competitive analysis, A/B testing and other user research by translating customer insights into actionable requirements Lead and facilitate design workshops with cross-functional stakeholders and customers, including co-creation, design sprints and internal ideation sessions Conduct usability testing with customers throughout the design process – from early paper prototypes, clickable mocked ups and fully functional prototypes Maintain and use Indigo’s Design System, ensuring that all UX is clean, affective, and joyful Create and use journey maps, personas and other design methods to empathize and distil customer needs Inform stakeholders and scrum teams of customer needs and design solutions Maintain awareness of and use leading edge UX design principles to ensure solutions are focused Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them Translate core reporting and research insights into actionable initiatives Utilize the best medium to communicate your vision, whether it be sketches, mocks, etc. Work closely with technology and product management teams throughout the development cycle, creating new concepts and iterating quickly on designs when technical roadblocks are met Effectively communicate design rationale for concepts and detailed designs to internal teams (grounded in user research, user testing, and data/analytics) Job Requirements: Minimum of 5-7 years in product design for web and mobile channels. Ideally for an omni-channel retailer Bachelor’s degree in related field Proven track record in translating business needs into digital product experiences Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered digital products / services shipped Innovative and creative approach to product research and design Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Invision and other design tools Proficient in design research; this includes field research, user interviewing, usability and A/B testing Strong communication skills with an ability to tell compelling stories about the work Ability to help facilitate design workshops and co-create sessions and design sprints is an asset Knowledge of design thinking methods are strong assets Experience in eComm design and customer shopping behaviours are very strong assets Job Details: Company: Chapters Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Toronto, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
