Job Description: Responsibilities include nominating and scheduling all natural gas purchases and sales on multiple interconnecting pipelines, storage facilities and distribution systems in the Northwest; managing and communicating with counterparties, customers, suppliers, pipelines and other parties to ensure proper and timely flow of gas; confirming and reconciling all purchases, sales and storage activity to pipeline statements as well as to internal systems including supporting spreadsheets to support the natural gas accounting function. Job Responsibilities: Coordinates the exchange of information as needed for tracking and managing the gas operations of the company. Provides information for customer operator nominations and communication to customers, their agents, and utility agents related to usage, forecasts, imbalances, entitlements, and curtailments. Develops and is responsible for maintaining good working and operating relationships with counterparties, pipeline representatives, customers (both internal and external) and customers’ agents/suppliers. Organize and maintain data required to support resource accounting operations with regards to pipeline statements and actual volumes. Responsible for nominating and scheduling all-natural gas purchases and sales on six transportation pipeline systems including interconnecting distribution systems. This includes nominations for transportation customers, system supply, storage, and off system sales. Develops and is responsible for preparation and accuracy of daily load forecasts. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related discipline preferred but not required. 3 years of experience with Natural Gas scheduling in the Western US and Canada preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of gas scheduling, gas control, customer management, relevant pipeline tariff provisions and computer applications. Broad knowledge of gas planning, engineering, fuel supply, natural gas load characteristics and operations is helpful.
