Job Description: The City of Anaheim Public Works Department seeks a dynamic and well qualified Construction Contracts Specialist to perform a variety of responsible technical and staff work involved in the oversight, monitoring and administration of capital improvement contracts and projects. The Contracts Specialist will administer and monitor contracts and contractors to ensure conformance with budgets, schedule, plans and specifications, and applicable standards, policies, laws and codes. The Contract Specialist will be responsible for construction project management from beginning to close-out (requiring both office and field work) and be customer service savvy while coordinating communications. Job Responsibilities: Plan, organize and prepare updates for department status sheets to reflect current status and progress of projects. Prepare request for proposals; review/facilitate, process, and monitor professional service agreements, scope of work, permitting, progress, and invoice payments. Solicit, evaluate, interview, and hire professional consulting firms for various design, construction management, and inspection duties; monitor and manage design and inspection efforts throughout the project. Administer final project close out including development of the punch list, facilitate final inspection, execute timely sign-offs, and review and process close out documents, warranties, manuals and as-built drawings; issue final payment and file notice of completion, manage stop payment notices. Assist operating departments by monitoring warrantee work during the warrantee period; assure the work is done to the satisfaction of the City.
