Reporting on a variety of investigative and intelligence information to support ongoing criminal and civil investigations. The incumbent independently evaluates interrelated facts to determine the relevancy of information; identifying leads to further investigative efforts; and deciding when sufficient information has been gathered to substantiate criminal activity. Generates documentation and correspondence in support of investigative activities and intelligence gathering for criminal investigators. Independently performs specialized duties with the control of seized evidence. Analyzes, interprets and adapts guidelines, regulations, and policy to a wide variety of evidence control problems. Uses specialized and complicated techniques such as taking pictures, weights, inventories, casting and officially sealing evidence for storage Provides confidential services for the Patrol Captain, Law Enforcement Officers, and Special Agents on a wide range of controversial and sensitive resources and personnel matters.
