Job Description: The selectee of this position serves as a Data Research Analyst responsible for for developing, and applying analytical and quantitative methods to assess performance, workload and efficiency. The incumbent serves as the division's data analytics subject matter expert and Data Steward. The incumbent also advises managers and stakeholders on analytical plans, processes. Job Responsibilities: As a Data Research Analyst at the GS-1501-13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Design data-gathering efforts, comprehensive data analytic studies, and initiatives for the identification of inefficiencies, cross-cutting issues, and similar risk indicators. Utilize relevant modeling information, probability data, frequency data, and other relevant data to characterize uncertainty through statistical methods. Perform research to ensure study results are properly interpreted and documented. Analyze designs to develop data visualization, data mining, and optimization tools and technologies in a variety of business functions. Job Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. This is a Testing Designated Positions (TDP) and is subject to random drug testing. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening. Qualification & Experience: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
