Job Description: This position in Parks Maintenance performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the care and maintenance of City facilities and equipment. This position may be required to work weekends as a regular work schedule in addition to responding to overtime calls that occur after hours, on weekends, and holidays. Job Responsibilities: Prioritizes, schedules, and completes building maintenance requests and work orders Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repairs, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, locksmithing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and masonry; maintains and repairs playground and fitness equipment; maintains and repairs pool equipment, including plumbing, filters, valves, and pumps; completes tasks related to janitorial maintenance, including opening and restocking bathrooms and City facilities; cleans facilities when necessary Schedules, inspects, and reports on the performance of contracted services for janitorial, building maintenance, and security Responds to customer inquiries and service requests via the Resident Service Center program Job Requirements: Ability to operate various small power tools, some heavy equipment, boom lifts, ladders, and other equipment used in the performance of building maintenance Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff, outside agencies, and the public Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and understand written and verbal instructions Entry level computer skills with the ability to effectively respond to citizen inquiries via the Resident Service Center and Microsoft Outlook Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to observe safety principles and work in a safe manner Strong customer service and follow-up skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service to City staff and the public with a positive attitude Ability to take initiative and effectively prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines Job Details: Company: City of Santa Clarita Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Santa Clarita, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
