Job Description: Accountable for planning, monitoring, reporting, & controlling the efficient movements of North America materials globally from material availability at affiliates to the arrival at destinations, taking in consideration cost optimization in terms of ocean fright & affiliates land transportation considering of capacity constraints, customer satisfaction and meeting our short/long terms objectives.Communication & Oversee with Sourcing & Contracting department regarding Ocean Transportation capacity requirements. Monitor performance & Qualifying service Providers. Maintain supplier relationships. Identify sourcing opportunities. Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include communication of international transportation capacity plans for the S&OP meeting and overseeing the calculation of logistics capacity units; comparing planned capacity with contracted capacity; ensuring availability of logistics capacity as contracted and actively participating in the international transportation contract; optimizing asset utilization; confirming orders to be shipped; and tracking shipments until delivery. Influences business margin by optimizing the use of relevant logistics resources, leveraging procurement opportunities, and improve product delivery to the satisfaction of customers within the Petrochemicals SBU and other SBUs by agreement with the overall objective of shipping to customers while meeting on time delivery, preserving product quality while handling & optimizing cost and monitors actual SC logistics performance Petrochemicals SBU Evaluates and creates an effective balance on service levels and cost to serve in international transportation logistics – ensuring margin and desired service levels are maintained Creates plans and ensures EHS procedures and protocol are followed by 3rd party transportation logistics individuals through evaluation of monthly KPI measurements Responsible for the service and EHS performance, for international transportation logistics Accountable for international transportation delivery reliability Ensures accurate transaction execution in SAP Collaborates with team responsible for Import and Export compliance Work with EHS team to understand regulatory changes and ensure compliance with business and 3PL’s Support activities around Global Trade Services (GTS) module within SAP to ensure regulatory requirements are being met Develop and continually monitor global logistical operations business risk plan Implement Responsible Care guidelines in all Logistics operations. Ensure Preparation and updating the approved procedures and guidelines. Monitor operations and identify deviations Creates visibility & accountability on all projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link international transportation logistics activities to SABIC’s PETCHEM Solids SBU strategic initiative around cost reductions Utilizes specific knowledge of the international transportation logistics market, trends and capabilities to identify areas for cost reductions and saving opportunities Manage international transportation of SABIC’s material sites in US to overseas customers and/or SABIC's overseas affiltes / warehouses including plant to port activities. Minimize the environmental impacts of logistics and transport activities. Improve the safety of operations to reduce accidents and unplanned delays. Reduce the risk of the business and the employees/contractors engaged in logistical activities to ensure minimal impact on logistical activities.
