Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Flow Systems Managers to join us at our flagship North West Hub in Warrington and be a key part of this amazing transformation. Job Responsibilities: 1st line support for mechanical and system issues raised by the operational teams Make timely business critical decisions based upon the data feeding into the flow room, ensuring bottlenecks and single points of failures are adequately managed Co-ordinate engineers and prioritise their workload via radio to rectify faults and blockages within the APSS Managing Vehicle flow through the yard management system (YMS) to ensure that vehicle movements to dock are managed to maximise efficiency of internal flow, yard utilisation and trailer utilisation Review SCADA system data to identify reoccurring faults across a time period and requesting preventative maintenance and repairs in conjunction with the Engineering team Prioritise faults and incidents occurring simultaneously in the operation. Rectifying the assets with the largest impact first Ensure all mail types are processed on time. Instruct and influence managers within the operation with their holistic view of the site Manage the APSS performance using our automation control systems SCADA, CCTV and WMS ensuring maximum utilisation and availability of the machine Designing and reviewing system and flow room standard operating procedures Works alongside the engineering team and ensure assets are available at the time requested for pre preventative maintenance (PPM) Job Requirements: Results and output oriented Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook Ability to influence and challenge in a positive style Resilience, tenacity and self-starter Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build trust Qualification & Experience: Flow/Control Room management experience in a fast moving, deadline driven environment Flexible approach with a desire to exceed targets through proactive management Previous Flow room, Control room, Plant room experience with use of SCADA, WCS and WMS (or equivalent systems) Presents information in a professional way Good analytical and technical background, able to understand data and systems flows Experience of yard management and use of Yard management software Experience with sortation systems and Beumer systems Experience of managing large scale automation operations and the challenges they bring Job Details: Company: Royal Mail Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Warrington, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
