Job Description: The TRC Department of Transportation (DOT) team is seeking a high-performing Risk Escalations Manager to join the team to manage critical and high impact escalations. The Escalation Manager will work closely with the Escalations Program Manager and team members across Amazon transportation businesses. In this role, you deep dive events leading to the escalations, actions taken to mitigate the issue prior to the escalation, provide summary, and work with responsible stakeholders to close out corrective action plans. Job Responsibilities: Manage high level communications, verbal and written, with stakeholders i.e. vendors and internal leadership on all escalations from engagement to resolution. Perform risk assessments: Analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting transportation programs. Research DOT (FMCSA, FAA, etc.) mandates, analyze business matters including data, isolate root cause(s) and provides insights to stakeholder (written) in a timely manner. Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company Apply DOT knowledge to business risk assessments and escalations for audits, roadside inspections, investigation matters. Prepare action plans to decrease risk factors. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) ; Participate in select field audits Lead/ co-lead special projects related to risk and escalations. Qualification & Experience: Experience analyzing data to provide insights to senior leadership and stakeholders to drive remediation plans Experience handling escalations and communicating with senior leadership and above and/or experience with and working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Political Science or applicable experience of 5+ years of work experience in a related field in law, safety management, compliance (regulatory and legislative mandates), and risk management.
