Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work closely with our core business leaders to unlock key insights and trends from our data. As an analytics leader on our team, you will develop advanced models and tools, conduct statistical analyses, evaluate large data sets, and create tailored models and dashboards. Additionally, you will be instrumental in the creation of a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing reporting and analytics. You will be structuring ambiguous problems and designing analytics across various disciplines which will result in actionable recommendations ranging from strategic planning, product strategy/launches, and engineering improvements to marketing campaign optimization, customer servicing trending, and competitive research. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data Clearly communicate any potential data discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause, steps to resolution, and resolution date to a large end-user base Analyze large data sets using a variety of database query and visualization tools Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators using standardized and custom reports Anticipate, identify, structure, and solve critical problems Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly solve time sensitive operational issues and business cases Mentor and coach for embedded analysts and business partners Understanding and analyzing the entire customer lifecycle with a focus on improved retention and engagement Enable decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources to present it in a digestible and actionable format Partner with subject matter experts to document and translate business requirements into technical requirements Qualification & Experience: Experience with querying Athena, Spectrum, Redshift and gathering data from multiple sources. Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or similar) Familiarity with Tableau and Looker. 5+ years working experience with writing complex SQL queries to perform data analysis Advanced data analysis knowledge and experience, with strong SQL skills Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools (such as Business Objects, Tableau, etc.) Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or similar) Proven ability at looking at solutions in unconventional ways. Sees opportunities to innovate and can lead the way. Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Exceeding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms and an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams.
