We are looking for a strong Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to provide global solutions to complex regulatory requirements that will increase product selection for Amazon customers worldwide! Job Responsibilities: Understand a broad range of Amazon’s resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use. Conduct deep dive analyses of problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership. Analyze and solve Product Analytics problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Apply automation so that with every iteration on a problem, you build your solution to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders. Implement reports, dashboards and metrics decks which distill down complex problems in measurable and actionable insights. Develop pragmatic analyses and choose applicable solutions that make valuable contributions to Amazon Design, implement and support a scalable and reliable infrastructure for Warehousing, BI and Analysis for the benefit of the Global Trade Services. Recognize and use advanced analytical techniques to solve problems Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze. Qualification & Experience: Ability to create usable tools in Tableau or similar program that allows others to fish for themselves. Expertise in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab 5+ years of relevant experience in a engineering role, including warehousing and tools, techniques and technology, and analysis. Experience working with a wide range of predictive and decision models and mining techniques, as well as tools for developing such models 3+ years work experience in BIE in a environment Advanced knowledge and expertise with Linux, Oracle and OLAP and warehousing concepts.
