Job Description: Tesla is seeking a deeply process oriented, experienced, and self-driven Capacity Planner to support finished vehicle logistics. You will work cross-functionally with global supply chain, demand planning, and production planning for capacity planning of outbound logistics. Job Responsibilities: Issue statistical or detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested including operation efficiency improvement, cost reduction and capacity planning. Develop strategies for cost effective capacity planning to support high volume production. Pull data from internal database. Analyze, compile, and publish logistics dashboards and metrics for Tesla’s logistics leadership. Collaborate with logistics leadership and the commercial team to establish strategic objectives for long term capacity planning. Establishes operational procedures for outbound shipments from the factory and on-time/ delivery performance. Collaborate with industrial engineers, business intelligence team and system development team regularly to initiate internal TMS improvements. Manages and assess carrier’s performance and reports operational metrics (KPIs) to senior management, as well as any regulatory reporting requirements related to transportation and logistics activities. Identify and define new process improvement opportunities. Lead and measure processes to ensure logistics operations are completed with excellence. Facilitates and coordinates with logistics carriers regarding all aspects of outbound transport of finished vehicles in North America. Qualification & Experience: Self-driven initiative to gain and implement a broad knowledge of logistics best practices. Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to achieve success in situations with high degrees of variation and complexity. 2+ years experience in logistics, supply chain or related industry. Demonstrated communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Desire to grow and take on increased scope of responsibility. Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to code in SQL and Tableau and deep dive in data. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field or the equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability. Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have a strong drive - orientated on result. Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively at all levels.
