Job Description: Tesla is seeking an ambitious EHS Specialist to support the Gigafactory Nevada Factory. They will use human and organizational principles to drive ownership of safety, health and environmental impacts, with a focus on engagement, learning from events, training, and a systems-level problem solving. Job Responsibilities: Partner with other EHS functions (Construction & Equipment Safety, EHS Systems and Tools, EHS Training, etc.) as needed to ensure effective service delivery to NV site. Deliver EHS Training and facilitate workshops to onsite teams. Facilitate incident investigations from a Learning Teams approach, ensuring that preventative actions address system causes and not just individual behaviors. Actively work with factory stakeholders to ensure that Production and Factory changes result in improved controls of risks to health, safety and the environment. Perform audits and inspections, document results, and ensure actions to closure. Ensure the Gigafactory EHS Management System elements are applied effectively in coordination with EHS Management. Develop new procedures, inspections, trainings, or reports as needed. Analyze incident trends and use risk-assessment methods to identify continuous improvement projects that reduce injury, illness and environmental impact events. Participate in pre-job planning and verification of controls/safeguards before new, high risk, and non-standard work begins. Monitor and administer EHS systems and tools used onsite in Giga NV (e.g., incident reporting, performance dashboards, action trackers, etc.). Job Requirements: Experience supporting EHS program development, training all levels of personnel, and influencing/managing change to reduce risk and improve outcomes. Familiarity with industrial hygiene, industrial ergonomics, machine safety, environmental compliance processes. Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health or related field. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work, Power Point, Project, etc.). Minimum 2 years work experience as an environmental, health or safety professional, preferably in a manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, or similar workplace. Experience with hazard analysis methods, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicle safety, OSHA compliance, incident investigation and learnings, and corrective action management.
