Job Description: The Environmental Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Environmental Operations Associate Manager. The Supervisor will have responsibility for the performance of Leads & Technicians tasked with the collection and handling of hazardous waste materials, stormwater sampling and best management practice implementation and maintenance, and emergency and spill response tasks from Tesla’s Lathrop facilities. Job Responsibilities: Create and maintain all records associated with hazardous waste generation including manifests, LDRs (Land Disposal Restriction notifications), monthly accumulation logs, and inspection reports. Conduct risk assessments on hazardous materials and coordinate storage and handling of hazardous waste. Supervise duties of environmental operations staff. Track hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation, storage and disposal for Tesla as required by local, state, and federal law. Prepare hazardous waste inventory for annual Hazardous Materials Inventory Plan report. Train environmental technicians on proper OSHA safety guidelines, State and Federal Regulations pertaining to Hazardous Waste Disposal, Hazardous Materials, and Department of Transportation regulations for proper loading, marking, handling and transporting of hazardous material containers. Ensure weekly and monthly environmental compliance inspections are conducted at all locations. Create profiles of waste streams with vendors to find the most efficient and cost-effective option for all generated waste. Prepare purchase requests, schedule outgoing waste shipments, and review vendor invoices. Implement, monitor and ensure compliance with Tesla SOP's.
