Job Description: Tesla’s Vehicle Engineering team is currently seeking a software quality assurance engineer to focus on improving our in-house manufacturing and vision automation platform. As well, this role will be able to contribute to many of our other purpose-built applications that automate and improve the process of designing, building, and delivering our products, globally. Job Responsibilities: Execute functional and regression tests as a part of release testing and triage results Implement solutions to provide automated visibility and monitoring of user experience and regressions between releases Write integration tests to ensure internal product quality and external dependency contracts and SLA’s Provide technical leadership, driving and performing engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs Design and develop advanced test suites using object-oriented methodologies Work with users, designers, and developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases and test strategies Help identify software bugs through manual testing, automated scripting, and report investigation Qualification & Experience: Knowledge of Web/UI testing Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (Selenium UI automation, Concourse CI/CD, JIRA ticketing etc.). Experience working with client-server architectures and automation. 2+ years Software Testing experience. Knowledge of relational databases/SQL.
