Job Description: B&Q has significantly enhanced the integration of Consumer PR into Marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for executing the Consumer PR strategy for the business and therefore need to be passionate about consumer brand and consumer media engagement, and the broader context of content-led marketing.The consumer PR campaigns you create and deliver will support B&Q's offer (products/services) and the B&Q brand values and personality; by influencing editorial content in earned media: news and consumer, traditional and digital; to drive footfall and brand loyalty, preference & desir Job Responsibilities: Manages the PR agency to deliver timely Content ideas as per campaign brief and ensures delivery of agreed PR Content is on message and aligns with B&Q brand guidelines (tone, personality) Works closely with the Content Lead and other channels through the Content Partnership to ensure PR Content is integrated with other channels Identifies, and leads PR agency to identify, relevant PR opportunities promote brand reputation and enhance consumer brand preference and/or desire. Manages and delivers the Consumer PR activation for Seasonal Marketing campaigns Leads on campaign data/insight for all outputs generated by the Consumer PR assets to support future campaign development Supports the influencer strategy, across POE, and leads on delivery in earned, working with other channels as appropriate Leads on coordination and delivery of media events and consumer experiential as part of Marketing campaigns. Has day to day management of the external national PR agency and national Press Office to create and deliver results that protect and enhance B&Qs reputation Forms effective relationships within KF PR Group and with key external stakeholders and influencers (including consumer media, influencers, event managers, PRs for vendors, NGOs) to support opportunities for specific consumer PR activations Job Requirements: Background in Consumer Media and PR within an integrated comms team (ideally FMCG or retail) An innovative forward-thinker - willing to experiment and take risks Great project management organisational skills and a real eye for detail The ability to create strong working relationships with both internal and external customers Tenacity, drive and determination to find the right answers from a variety of sources Previous Press office experience with national/global brand, both proactive and reactive National consumer media exposure (ideally to include home & lifestyle) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Rigorous, positive, down-to-earth, flexible, creative and committed individual The proven ability and passion to investigate, evaluate and analyse information Genuinely enthusiastic about Consumer PR and it’s potential – keeping up to date on latest 'best in class' activations Job Details: Company: B&Q Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Southampton, United Kingdom Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
