Job Responsibilities:

  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
  • Global preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Track and execute Simulator Quality Management Systems (SQMS) task as assigned.
  • Track and equipment usage and repair/upkeep for trend analysis.
  • Accurately catalog all training devices, equipment, spare parts and tools.
  • Maintain the device/equipment to ensure high availability for training events.
  • Equipment conditions and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Equipment retrofit schedule.
  • Manage a schedule and unscheduled maintenance plan for all flight training devices (FTD/TST), door trainers and defined equipment at all training bases (FLL, DFW, LAS, MCO).
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; Spirit IT, equipment manufacturer, vendors/partners for technical support and/or sourcing required equipment.
  • Provide real time and on call technical support to Instructors to minimize delays due to equipment failure.

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical Dexterity, able to perform light to medium manual/technical functions.
  • Communicator: Relay’s information in a clear and concise format. Listens, understands and provides feedback. Actively reaches out to students and colleagues.
  • Domestic & International travel under 10% of time.
  • Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills. Places team goal(s) and initiatives above personal gain. Listens, communicates and influences effectively to create seamless collaboration.
  • Trustworthy: Has a high level of integrity, ethics and discretion. Is direct and open, is effective in complex, ambiguous and stressful situations, projects a positive image.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience (IT; Aviation Maintenance Technology).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibit a commitment to the established aviation standards for maintenance quality.
