Job Description: This position is located at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This position serves as a Flight Systems Training and Operations Specialist and is responsible for developing training and real-time operational mission concepts; conducting engineering analysis to validate human space flight activities; developing certification training for flight control teams; and participating in human space flight mission operations. Job Responsibilities: In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Developing real-time support requirements for spacecraft hardware and software systems; Developing certification space flight training requirements and objectives required to support human space flight missions; Conducting engineering analysis planning, design, and reports to validate human space flight activities.
