Job Description: We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist to develop causal inference, predictive and machine learning models. A successful candidate will have strong statistical modeling and machine learning skills. The position will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Finance teams to define the business problem and apply relevant data science solutions to solve the problem for the global FBA Inbound network. Job Responsibilities: Publish and present your work at internal and external scientific venues in the fields of Statistics/ML/Optimization/Recommender systems. Work with peer scientists to review the science proposals and provide feedback. Collaborate with scientists, engineers and product managers to identify the highest-impact science projects to solve customer problems. Design, implement and test science solutions to drive business impact. Evaluate the proposed solutions via offline simulations and verify recommendations efficacy through experimentation in production. Qualification & Experience: Working knowledge of web-scale data processing Master’s degree (or Bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science 2+ years of experience using data querying languages (e.g. SQL, Hadoop/Hive) and programming languages such as R/Python 2+ years of experience working as a data scientist or a similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication PHD degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science 2+ years of experience using data querying languages (e.g. SQL, Hadoop/Hive) Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities 2+ years of experience with R, Python or similar programming language Job Details: Company: Amazon Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: San Francisco, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
