Amazon is looking for a talented, smart, and enthusiastic Activewear Technologist to drive best in class fit and quality across direct development product. The mission of our Global Technical Design Team is to delight customers of all shapes and sizes around the world with products that fit perfectly. We operate under regional Technical Design teams that form in to a single Global org, and this individual will be responsible for the technical development of all Women’s and Men’s Activewear product. This includes being at the forefront of using technology where available (e.g. 3D fit tools) to make processes faster, more accurate and less costly combined with internal Global Customer size and fit data to continually refine the accuracy of our fit. The ideal candidate is passionate and detail oriented, with the ability to apply and communicate solid and relevant Technical knowledge to multiple stakeholders globally. They will also need to be comfortable deep diving size and fit related data from multiple global regions in order to refine and innovate the product, process and Customer experience. Experience in a similar role is essential along with a desire to work as a specialist. Job Responsibilities: Travel to factories to work with technical teams to advance fit approval timeline (Pending Covid-19 travel restrictions and government guidance) Deliver clear specifications on Design Tech packs to include fit, construction and quality being cognisant or target prices Lead technical conversations with Vendors, including quality and fit issue escalations Develop or update existing Technical Literature and SOPs as and when required Leverage Technical Knowledge to conduct wearer testing through development and post production Root cause analysis and customer data deep dives in line with strategy/defect escalations Track and manage workflow and workload for own product or team Work with design to ensure that relevant blocks and patterns are in place (2D and 3D) Lead fit sessions ensuring fit, sizing, construction and quality consistency is achieved in line with standards Evaluate garments to determine compliance of specs, construction, quality and fit intent versus the agreed standard Qualification & Experience: Excel and Office proficiency At least 8 years working in a similar role Knowledge of product development and fabric construction Relevant Bachelor’s Degree In-depth knowledge and experience of patterns, construction and fitting Job Details: Company: Amazon Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: London, England, UK Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
