Job Description: Ring Smart Lighting is looking for a talented Quality Assurance Manager with a strong testing and technical background. Someone who has solid people management skills to build, manage and develop highly-capable and experienced quality teams. Job Responsibilities: Ongoing evaluation of team processes with ability to implement improvements that support the business. Partner with engineering teams, product and project managers to align on priorities, timelines and communicate status Prepares and distributes test reports and release readiness reports for stake holder review. Support team with an ability to dive deeply into technical details and assess the testability of components/features as designed and implemented. Leads a global QA team to test and automate existing and new software to qualify for deployment to customers. Clarifies test requirements, and defines overall test strategy Drive analysis of post release quality and defect escapees and implement improvements based on the results the analysis. Document lessons learned and COE’s to prevent repeat issues. Qualification & Experience: 6+ years of overall QA experience and at least 2+ years as a QA Leader. Experience validating high quality consumer facing applications on embedded communications platforms. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Experience managing projects in an agile development environment. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements. Strong QA and Automation background with experience in identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results. Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing standards, methods and conventions, and the product development cycle Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing QA teams. Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results. Knowledgeable on professional software engineering & best practices in software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
