Job Description: As a Barclays Solution Design Lead, within the Global Technology Infrastructure Services function, you will work with business critical projects and programmes ensuring fit for purpose technical infrastructure solutions are deployed in support of business demand and requirements. You will ensure the optimum infrastructure is chosen and the solution is delivered on time to the required level of quality. Job Responsibilities: Ensuring designs are cost-efficient and meet resiliency, control and risk requirements Drafting technical infrastructure designs, ensuring optimal solutions in alignment with Group Technology strategy Leading infrastructure designs / solutions result in alignment of CIO and Infrastructure Services technology strategies Influencing the roadmap for best-in-class utility infrastructure solutions Collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple functions (CIO, Chief Technology Office, Chief Security Office) to ensure alignment and adherence of infrastructure designs Analysing business requirements to determine optimal infrastructure solutions and capacity requirements Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues spanning multiple technologies Performing application profiling to understand infrastructure consumption, specifically CPU, memory and IO loads Job Requirements: Significant knowledge and experience of Infrastructure (Windows, LINUX Operating Systems, SQL/Oracle Database, virtualisation/hybrid cloud technologies and VMWare Understanding of application networking and storage dependencies and ability to design accordingly Experience of collating business requirements and delivering technical design documentation Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders Job Details: Company: Barclays Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Birmingham, England, UK Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
