Job Description: As a Barclays Quant Analyst you will sit within the QA BI Financial Modelling, a team that mainly works on quantitative model development for business financial planning and stress testing. You will have an opportunity to contribute to all stages of model development such as data analysis, statistical testing, model documentation and regulatory submissions. Job Responsibilities: Working on compliance of models and documentation with internal and regulatory requirements, providing analytical support to the Finance and IT teams for team deliverables and interactions Implementing the models and the estimation and calibration procedures in Barclays statistical model development framework Formulating and applying mathematical and statistical modeling techniques using Python and R Working on theoretical modeling, empirical-testing, historical back-testing, statistical analysis of market data, numerical implementations of analytical modules, and model documentation Analyzing and defining data requirements, business revenue segmentation and business drivers Performing reviewing, calibrating, and testing of models to ensure adequacy, and provide support for business usage of the models Developing and maintaining quantitative models and methodologies used for business financial planning Generating regulatory reporting requirements and forecasting Income Statement and Balance Sheet components for businesses Job Requirements: A good knowledge of data analysis, theory and statistical techniques (such as linear or nonlinear models, logistic regression, macroeconomic forecast, decision trees, cluster analysis and neural networks etc.) Proficiency with analytical software R or Python, SQL tools (e.g., Oracle), Unix platforms, and MS Office required Minimum Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Mathematics/ Statistics or Economics) Hands-on experience in statistical model development Graduate studies, Masters or PhD in quantitative discipline preferred Analytical work experience in a financial services company, as well as technical and/ or statistical skills with proven ability to process large datasets into meaningful information An understanding of the fundamental principles of the CCAR and other stress testing exercises Excellent communication skills & ability to work independently and project management skills Job Details: Company: Barclays Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: New York, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
