Job Description: This role is to work alongside the planning team and progress on site works. Maximising your own skills will allow you to work closely with both the planners and our contractors in order to improve planner throughput by being the focal point of on-site works from inception meeting through to RFI (Ready for Installation) and beyond. Co-operation with the field teams is also key to smooth the flow of progress working closely with CR, and fulfilling some of those duties too. Job Responsibilities: Engage with various contractors to arrange any power install and upgrade works required based on survey results. Manage install and upgrade projects through to site completion including raising purchase orders and creating job packs. Update floor plans to reflect new customer and power kit deployment Capacity manage power equipment in all exchanges in patch, e.g. mains, generator, cooling and space Carry out site surveys to assess current power loadings to allow future equipment installs. Job Requirements: A detailed working knowledge of BT’s power estate. You will be a qualified to BS7671 18th Edition. Experience of working within an exchange environment specifically power/engine rooms and the equipment within. Experience of working with engines and power distribution within the BT exchange. You will have a solid academic electrical or building services engineering background (BEng, HND, HNC), or the equivalent demonstrable work experience.
