Job Description: Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a PRN Optometrist for our on-site health center at the Carpenters Union in St. Louis, MO! This health center has a proactive, educative approach where employees are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices. As the PRN Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive primary and urgent ocular care services as part of an integrated care team, focusing on examination, diagnoses, and treatment of ocular complaints and conditions. This includes examinations of visual acuity, color, and depth perception, as well as analysis of exam results and diagnoses to develop individualized treatment plans. You will also monitor ocular conditions caused by chronic conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, coordinate with the individual’s care team, and refer to other health care practitioners as needed. Our Optometrist will provide appropriate patient education on the reciprocal relationship between ocular health and overall health and wellbeing.
