Job Description: Under the direction of a facility sergeant, the duties of the position include, but are not limited to, performing general grounds maintenance duties; lawn mowing, minor pruning, trimming, weeding, watering, maintaining ornamental plantings, keeping parking lot free of debris, sweep sidewalks, replace light bulbs, assisting in moving and arranging furniture, order supplies and equipment as necessary, and clean, stock and maintain storage rooms. Maintain records of vehicle mileage, coordinate or provide required maintenance of vehicles, keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean, and stock an adequate supply of necessary equipment for vehicles. Perform general janitorial duties during the absence of the custodian, including but not limited to, cleaning the facility restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying waste receptacles, replenishing lavatory supply dispensers, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility.
