Job Description:
As an Administrative Coordinator for CPA Canada’s Standards group, you will effectively project manage activities undertaken by the Standards group’s marketing communications team and provide administrative support to the Standards group’s oversight councils and their related committees. You will also manage and ensure your department’s flawless functioning, oversee the budget process, and support corporate KPI measurement activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Author or lead responses to public consultations and ad-hoc requests on behalf of CPA Canada to regulatory and government bodies (e.g.,
- Canadian Securities Administrators, Finance Canada, IAASB)
- Research and develop non-authoritative guidance and thought leadership (market-driven and forward-looking publications, webinars, blogs, presentations, podcasts) by building on own subject matter expertise and working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
- Under the direction of the VP Regulatory Affairs, oversee creation and distribution of resources on Anti-Money Laundering and prepare feedback on FINTRAC interpretation bulletins
- Oversee and manage specific projects within the area of responsibility. This project oversight will include creating and managing the project budget, directing authors/consultants, translation, design, web content, contracts, expense reports and relevant marketing and communication efforts. Also, proactively identify, address and resolve issues in each of these areas
- Manage authors, consultants, volunteers and related contracts for project completion
- Conduct background and supportive research on topics
- Oversee development of leading-edge guidance materials for boards and audit committees of not-for-profit and public organizations and their senior management
- Manage volunteer committees, working groups and task forces, including facilitating/presenting at meetings
- Design and propose thought-leading projects to the COG Board
- Manage communications of Board decisions and activities
- Promote and positively profile CPA Canada as a credible source of resources
- Support CPA Canada’s Foresight program by initiating or managing projects in the data governance or value creation priorities
Job Requirements:
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven working experience in project management
- Experience and proficiency with such tools as MS 365 tools, MS Office, MS Project, Clearpoint, SurveyMonkey, Hootsuite, and Aptify
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- An undergraduate degree with a focus on Administration or Project Management considered an asset
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
