Job Responsibilities:

As one of our finance leaders, you’ll help crucial state and local government departments and agencies continuously achieve and sustain performance improvement in a rapidly changing environment. Your role as a Senior Manager will focus on leading and delivering of client engagements, interacting at an executive level, as well as sales and practice development activities. In this role you could sell, deliver and manage finance transformation projects in these areas

• Finance strategy development
• Finance operating model design
• Finance processes improvement
• Shared services and global business services design and implementation
• Outsourcing advisory
• Managing financial, risk and quality aspects of client engagements
• Communicating issues, status and thought leadership to partners and clients
• Building relationships with external clients and internal peers to generate new business opportunities
• Understanding EY service offerings and providing subject-matter insight to bids, proposals, and service delivery execution
• Building, managing and motivating high-performing teams, including supporting people-related initiatives (e.g., recruitment, retention, training, competency development)
• Developing people through effective supervision, coaching, mentoring and performance assessment of all levels of staff
• Understanding and communicating workplace policies, procedures and practices to all levels of staff.
• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Finance systems (e.g., SAP), robotics, and intelligent automation
• Financial close, consolidation and reporting
• Cost management and profitability analysis

Job Requirements:

• Ability to build impactful relationships with key influencers to effectively manage work and generate new business opportunities
• Ability to share leading practices and insights about current industry or subject-matter topics with EY US leaders, proposal teams and clients
• Ability to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams, including supporting people-related initiatives (e.g., recruitment, retention, training, competency development)
• Proactive collaborator who can organize and hold an initial C-suite conversation across all key offerings and business areas while have deep delivery experience in at least one key client business area
• Ability to develop people through effective leadership, coaching, mentoring and performance assessment of all levels
