Job Description: This position is being announced under FEMA's Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process. Job Responsibilities: Providing direction and advice to employees on procedures for identifying and maintaining accountability for property in their custody. Performing a variety of accountable property management duties in the areas of property accountability including acquisition, utilization, identification, inventory control, and disposition of all equipment. Coordinating and controlling property and/or equipment within a designated management area or a specialized field of supply operations. Ensuring all property and equipment items are used for the purpose procured and intended, and are properly maintained and accounted for according to laws, regulations, and policies. Developing procedures to ensure proper protection, security, and maintenance of the property and/or equipment. Job Requirements: You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card. Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59. You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
