Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all employee safety and health training is performed including new hire orientation, contractor orientation, occupant emergency plan and any other Recovery Office specific topics.
  • Serving as the Recovery Office Medical Counter Measures (MCM) point of contact responsible for managing, storing, and distributing antibiotics in the event of an
  • Anthrax incident and will serve as the Recovery Office Automated External Defibrillator (AED) coordinator responsible for managing all AEDs.
  • Providing guidance to the Recovery Office.
  • Implementing and managing safety and occupational health programs as required.
  • Serving as the Recovery Office Occupant Emergency Plan Coordinator, responsible for ensuring all Recovery Office operations, buildings and/or locations have up to date and proper floor wardens, and occupant emergency procedures including evacuation, shelter-in-place, and required drills.
  • Investigating all Recovery Office incidents causing illness and injury to employees, contractors or visitors, investigating building indoor air quality (IAQ) complaints,
  • investigating chemical and physical complaints, and reviewing all construction, renovation or new occupancy plans for safety and health compliance.
  • Performing job hazard analysis (JSA) and/or Disaster Hazard Assessment Plans (DHAPs) for all Recovery Office operations
  • Consulting with appropriate headquarters offices to stay abreast of changing COVID-19 protocols.
  • Performing routine annual safety and health inspections of all Recovery Office facilities
  • Leading the return to office plan and COVID protocols to foster a safe work environment.
  • Serving as the point of contact for corrective actions from third party audits and FEMA Management Evaluations and technical Assistance Reviews (METARs) and Self Evaluation Check Lists.

Job Requirements:

  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
  • You must successfully pass a background investigation.
