Job Description: Ensure the proper receiving of DSD (Direct Store Delivery) product by following Food Lion policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice. Job Responsibilities: Wear the Food Lion uniform, complete with name badge, when on duty, has a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code Verify that DSD plan-o-grams are accurate Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience Handle all reclaim and damages Courteous and helpful to other associates Ensure weekly merchandising notes are implemented timely Account for daily and weekly DSD tickets, beer and wine invoices and properly file Work with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely promotions by all vendors Report all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice Work with vendors to resolve vendor errors, policy violations or excessive inventory, etc. Check EDI invoices to ensure there are no outstanding invoices Demonstrate and execute proper vendor receiving policies established by Food Lion Responsible for consistently conducting CAO related activities, stocking, and rotating cigarette cartons Understand and use company tools such as; average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO) Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations Protect company assets through the proper and accurate receipt and return of DSD product Job Requirements: Ability to use technical information to solve problems High school graduate or equivalent preferred Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills Job Details: Company: Food Lion Vacancy Type: Part Time Job Location: Durham, NC, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
