Job Description: Florida Power & Light (FPL) is seeking certified Cable Splicers to join our growing team! To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work ANY SHIFT at any location within FPL’s service territory in the state of Florida. Job Responsibilities: Prepare all job associated paperwork. Work alone or be assigned to work with other Splicers or lower classifications without the direct supervision of a higher level classification. Perform all distribution underground switching and overhead switching as needed. Work in inclement weather for extended hours, may be required to travel throughout the system in cases of emergencies and storms to restore the system. Responsible for all assigned work being done in accordance with all company design standards and work methods. Perform all associated tasks with the construction and maintenance of all underground facilities. Troubleshoot and repair all underground distribution circuits and equipment. Job Requirements: Must be physically able to do all assigned tasks. Must be able to work in direct sunlight or at night. Minimum of two (2) years verifiable work experience as a Certified Cable Splicer Commercial Driver's License, Class A Must have satisfactorily completed the FPL apprentice cable splicer or another equivalent recognized program.
