Job Responsibilities:

  • To effectively communicate the benefits and values of F4 services to other agencies and individuals.
  • To provide support in the absence of other team members and to work with a team based multi-agency ethos- sharing and enabling work with Arrest Referral Women’s Pathfinder staff and others.
  • To liaise with other agencies, community groups, public, third and private sector partners when appropriate to support those who are engaging with F4..
  • To engage with participants who are released from the custody suites, ensuring these referrals are followed up and the people referred are engaged in services.
  • To work with management and colleagues developing and supporting new initiatives and developments.
  • Following assessment, organise with colleagues, structured programmes of care and support including training/awareness/education programmes, appointments with
  • partner agencies and general one-to-one or group support. Enable service users to review and reflect on learning and raised awareness and to set positive future goals.
  • To compile data and complete all documentation that pertains to the range of duties associated with this role.
  • To work with partners to ensure effective networks and joined up services.
  • To work fully within all the expectations of the Future 4 consortium with specific regard for equality and diversity.
  • To empower and support those who find it difficult to engage with services. Encouraging those who have not accessed services to which they have been referred and support them to attend initial appointments.
  • To submit verbal or written reports when requested.
  • To work within the organisation’s operational policies and overall philosophy.
  • Occasional evening and weekend working may be required – in Custody suites or for interventions with those who are employed or in training

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work with participants and colleagues in a non-judgemental manner.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport.
  • IT skills.
  • Willingness to work flexibly.
  • Experience of assessment and planning programmes of care.
  • Knowledge of a range of relevant interventions.
  • Experience of supporting people in crisis.
  • Commitment to Equal Opportunities and Diversity
  • Experience of liaising and working collaboratively with other agencies.
  • Relevant experience of working with people to enable change. (paid or voluntary experience).
  • Awareness of the barriers experienced by people caught up in a cycle of offending and related issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
