Job Description: Amazon Studios is seeking an experienced Production Executive to aid managing the production and delivery of unscripted content for South Africa. The candidate will have great attention to detail and organization skills, as well as the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. You will also need to use a high level of discretion when handling confidential information in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company. This role will help manage our projects and 3rd party production partners. Job Responsibilities: Works closely with other internal departments at a senior level, such as creative, marketing, press, labor, immigration, risk management, business affairs, legal, health & safety, protective services, public policy, finance, and tax Works with post-production to ensure delivery of all required assets. Is on-set when necessary to evaluate work-flow, budgets and potential problems both domestically and abroad (as needed) Make recommendations on suitable production methodology including possible multi-territory co-productions based on industry knowledge Analyzes budgets and cost reports Oversee all aspects of physical production projects from development to production and post production Oversees budget and production meetings with 3rd party producers, production managers and creative executive Able to conduct research and provide assessments of the various local Unscripted TV production environments, production customs, cost structures and potential impediments to production in this region Qualification & Experience: Fluency in English, non-English and/or indigenous languages spoken by audiences in South Africa Extensive experience managing television development and production and project launches Experience in all forms of unscripted production across all budget levels Multiple years of experience at a network or production company environment Strong knowledge and experience in all forms of unscripted television (e.g., competition, docu-follow, documentary, music, variety) across all budget levels Experience working with producers, production companies, agents, and other industry players Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
