Job Description: The LIS Calibration Technician provides preventive and corrective calibration services and support for a variety of analytical and laboratory equipment enabling science and site operations for colleagues as a part of the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) – Americas Region II for the Durham Clinical Manufacturing Facility (DCMF) located in Durham, NC. This entails a diverse range of accountabilities including the performance of assigned tasks as well as the oversight and direction of vendor and contractor work being performed by others. The role requires the development and maintenance of close working relationships with colleague and contracted resources in the execution of assigned work aligning with overall GWS goals and supported business line objectives and strategies. This role is accountable for complying with all Pfizer and/or regulatory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements during the performance of assigned work. Job Responsibilities: Complete Laboratory Instrument Services (LIS) preventive and corrective calibration maintenance work assignments. This will include self-performed and oversight of vendor performed tasks and activities. All work activities to be documented using EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management System) which is Pfizer’s CCMS (Computerized Calibration Management System). Collaborate and support the GWS Asset Lifecycle Manager (ALM) with the establishment of the required service and support program for all new ARD instrumentation and equipment. This also includes the optimization of the service and support program for existing instrumentation. Collaborate and coordinate with facility maintenance service provider personnel, contracted vendor personnel, ARD equipment owners, GWS and Pfizer procurement as required for the desired service outcomes. Complete related assignments and tasks as determined by GWS manager. Enhance department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
