Job Description: The Independent Reviewing Officer is a key role in quality assuring the care plans and interventions for children looked after. The role offers independent oversight and monitoring of cases to ensure there is high quality, timely and effective multi agency work being undertaken that will address the needs of children and young people and secure positive outcomes. The Independent Reviewing Officer should be confident to provide constructive professional criticism to promote good practice and to ensure that plans are progressed in a timely way. You will join the Service Quality Team (SQT) who are passionate about working to safeguard children and contributing to positive outcomes for children who are looked after and subject to Child Protection Planning, ensuring that their voice is at the centre of all that we do. Job Requirements: You will be a registered social worker and have substantial post qualifying experience of child protection and working with children and young people who are looked after by a local authority. You will have the skills and ability to develop relationships with children and young people and promote their engagement and participation in meetings.
