Job Description: The Linux Engineer will work closely with our Businesses and Partners, while drawing on years of engineering experience, in-depth linux knowledge, and technical skills to ensure the deliverable's are of the highest caliber capable of exceeding client satisfaction. This person must have expertise to identify, develop, and implement measures that transform and evolve the enterprise with innovative linux solutions thereby changing the status quo. The Linux Engineer contributions will improve resource elasticity, provisioning, be broadly accessible, serve multiple businesses, and be measurable resulting in increased efficiency and effectiveness. The Engineer must be able to lead and guide linux services, supporting systems, linux components, relationships between linux components and other environments, values and attributes of Linux infrastructure, and governance of the linux environment. Job Responsibilities: Adhere to linux strategies, standards, designs, guidelines and policies Responsible for implementing projects or solutions that meet, performance, robustness, scalability, and business agility standards as documented. Consult with business, business leaders, and partners to ensure policies and processes are followed. Responsible to adhere to, designs, standards, processes, practices and tools supporting the linux infrastructure. Maintain the enterprise wide linux framework, to meet or exceed best practices and processes, as documented. Develop and document linux procedures and processes. Responsible for understanding customer requirements and enterprise standards. Work with peers and product managers to design, develop, intergrate and deploy linux solutions as per instructed. Provide engineered solutions and respective artifacts supporting the use cases life cycle management. Direct, lead, moderate, and drive collaboration of work and participants on respective linux solutions Develop and integrate build automation platforms such as Puppet and Ansible to aid in the automation of deployment into virtual environments. Develop and integrate monitoring, management and reporting services. Integrate tools and services for proper linux environment stability and functionality. Job Requirements: Minimum of 1 years experience with Linux application, development, deployment, management and operations Disired Linux certifications or Equivalent Work Experience Automation experience using Puppet, Ansible, Terraform or similar technologies. Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent demonstrate-able experience Experience is server virtualization: Vmware, xen, kvm and similar Minimum of 1 years, or equivalent, experience with Linux and systems knowledge Experience in scripting: python, ruby, bash and similar Understanding of networking principals in physical and virtual environments Understanding of Linux technologies, services, delivery models and Vendors Experience in Container solutions: docker, crio, and similar Experience in cloud solutions: aws, azure, and similar.
