Job Description: Are you looking for a phenomenal opportunity to join our Fort Hills mining team as a Mining Supervisor working a seven-on, seven-off shift schedule and staying at our world-class on-site lodge? In this role you will report to the Shift Superintendent and be responsible for achieving our safety and production targets in accordance with prescribed daily plans, policies and procedures. You will work closely with your peer supervisors and give direction and guidance to a multi-skilled workforce of approximately 65 heavy equipment operators. You will be responsible for the safe and productive execution of loading, hauling and placement activities using the latest mining technology available. Job Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all workplace rules, procedures and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) codes Perform daily safety, productivity and competency audits Complete daily priorities which include meeting the required dig location plans for the shovel fleet as outlined in the weekly plan Monitor shovel pits, haul roads and placement areas to ensure resources are properly allocated to meet our daily, weekly and long-term goals Supervise the work required for bulk excavations, dyke construction, soil salvage and heavy hauler road building Work closely with shift trainers to ensure skill sets and training requirements are being met Provide daily work assignment to your crew and verify the quality completion of those work assignments Job Details: Company: Suncor Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Fort McMurry, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here getyourvacancy.com
