Job Description: The Credit Analyst III is responsible for conducting in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers for our Commercial Education National lending team. This job works cooperatively to support the Lending and Credit functions of the Bank. Job Responsibilities: Works independently. Participates in Customer meetings and make direct inquiry for specific Customer information based on prior research, experience and knowledge (may require travel at times). May train/mentor/coach junior analysts. Integral part of loan origination process. Responsible for performing underwriting analysis of Borrower's character, credit worthiness and financial condition. Supports the lending function by providing analytical support. Strong understanding of loan risk factors. Responsible for complex loans/industries/Customers. Job Requirements: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Effective time management skills. Demonstrated knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques. Demonstrated ability to independently gather, consolidate, analyze and summarize data to provide well-considered recommendations for all levels of commercial credit relationships. 3-5 years related experience required. 4 year degree or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of loan risk factors. Proven ability to identify and quantify subtle business risks and the ability to identify key drivers of risk and focus discussions accordingly.
