Job Responsibilities: Developing innovative commercial solutions to offer best-value to Tesco’s customers whilst improving operating profitability Identifying, evaluating and selecting best-in-class suppliers Supporting category colleagues to develop and implement sourcing plans Advocating best-practise sourcing processes and strategies across Tesco Analysing supplier offers to identify cost savings and secure the best balance between Quality, Value, Innovation, and Supply (QVIS) Working with analytical support teams to guide suppliers to improve their offer throughout each tender Mitigating risk to quality, brand, supply/availability and cost Emphasising responsible and sustainable sourcing whilst minimising cost Identifying and assessing potential new suppliers as well as building efficient long-term supplier relationships Forming Natural Working Teams (NWTs) and leading Requests for Information and Quotation (RFIs and RFQs) Job Requirements: Health & Safety qualification IOSH. Engineering and Maintenance qualification. Experience in budget management and forecasting. Problem solving & influencing skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. You will have an engineering, maintenance or facilities management background. Experience of engineering, maintenance or facilities from a retail or FMCG background. Comfortable with reviewing and analysing management information to deliver business objectives. Ability to manage a heavy workload with conflicting priorities. People leadership and development with proven experience of leading through leaders.
