Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Concept Designer within John Lewis Partnership. In this role, you will work with both the John Lewis brand to help create, design and develop concept design solutions for supplier funded initiatives, ensuring that the designs meet and deliver the concept brief, deliver commercial objectives and customer experience. Job Responsibilities: Work with the Senior Management Team, generate new thinking and ideas that support the Physical Estate Change Team in their ambition to improve shop standards and enable more fleet-of-foot shop change and project delivery You will help create, develop design concept solutions to meet design and commercial briefs whilst delivering a consistent approach to the 3D look & feel of shops and customer areas Contribute to and maintain a thorough understanding of store design planning principles, the overall look and feel of John Lewis, shop fit, equipment and related capital and operational costs. You will demonstrate up to date commercial, sustainable and design awareness, including maintaining an up-to-date assessment of retail developments in the UK and worldwide. Develop excellent working relationships with all cross functional work streams and third party agencies. You will work collaboratively and effectively with Buying, Space, Comm Ops, Retail and Supplier Management with Internal & External stakeholders, including Design Agencies, Shopfitters and Brands You will be responsible for ensuring the due diligence element of the process being effectively developed, documented, managed and delivered for all design solutions. Manage prototyping and trial assessment of design solutions gathering and acting on stakeholder feedback, including Customer and functional experts. Facilitate the approval of all proposals, internal elevations and finishes,lighting and ceiling plans through the design governance process. Ensure all Health & Safety and DDA requirements are met and the approval level of due diligence has been completed Job Requirements: Managing wide range of projects and developed communication skills BA Hons in 3D Design or similar Experience of working with and managing 3rd party resources (e.g. architects and shopfitters). Working experience of AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketchup, Photoshop, Inventor, Revit.
