KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in State and Local Government for our Consulting practice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead full system development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development/configuration, testing, and deployment phases
  • Capture requirements and elicit design and work with business and technical stakeholders, including system architects to develop technical design to meet business requirements
  • Work closely with the development/configuration team, providing explanation and background to facilitate code development/system configuration and unit testing; Oversee system testing and lead user acceptance testing
  • Identify data conversion requirements and develop approach for legacy data migration
  • Lead deployment team and assist end users with issue identification and resolution and develop Help Desk approach and procedures
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify, strategize, communicate, and solve issues; Provide guidance on responsibilities and proactively manage projects, procedures, processes, and system communication

Qualification & Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience successfully working in large project design, development, and implementation projects; State government experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in technical sciences or information systems
  • Demonstrated consulting, problem-solving, and project implementation skills; PMP is a plus
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task project deliverable under tight deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communications to exchange information, explain procedures, techniques, and answer questions in a clear logical manner
  • Proven ability to contribute to business vision, lead teams, and meet client expectation and deliverables. Must be collaborative, maintaining good client relationships
  • Travel may be up to 80-100%
