Job Description:

Origination & Advisory aims to build long-term, trusted and mutually beneficial relationships with the major corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors, and sovereigns around the world. You would become part of a diverse team of individuals based in New York, who are responsible for the Finance function for Deutsche Bank’s Origination and Advisory businesses across the globe. You will work closely with the Front Office across all regions, but also constantly interact with various other internal groups such as Risk Management, Operations, Accounting, and Regulatory Policy.

Job Responsibilities:

• production, monthly closing of the General Ledger, analysis of Financial Resource Metrics, such as risk weighted assets and leverage
• Act as a key escalation contact and interface for our offshore Finance teams and the Origination and Advisory business
• Development and review of valuation analyses and financial models
• Perform various financial analyses, conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
• Prepare presentation decks on results by the Business and present to Senior Business Management, and provide input on specific sections of the Capital Plan. Work with Modeling Team and the Front Office to redevelop models and help validate data for ongoing model monitoring
• Remediate/close out Audit Findings and internally identified issues and lesson learned, and consider Federal Reserve Board (FRB) Feedback in all decisions and process enhancements. Participate in user acceptance testing to identify and highlight possible system issues

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
• Previous relevant experience of strong product knowledge across Equity and Debt Capital markets
• Strong communication skills to connect with Regulators and Front Office
• Knowledge of accounting principles, both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are required
• Regulatory rules and frameworks related to Capital Requirements Directive 4 (CRD4) Leverage, Risk Weighted Assets, and similar accounting and regulatory policy would be preferred
