Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent the group in exchanges with authorities and professional associations, including the CTPA, ASA and MHRA, to safeguard the Group’s position.
  • Have overall accountability for claim development from a Scientific perspective.
  • Ensure scientific support throughout the products’ communication plans.
  • Apply the Group’s Claims strategy and ensure the appropriate implementation of regulations, particularly cosmetic and device regulations, for the development and commercialisation of products.
  • Lead and develop a team of Scientific Advisors.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise and provide scientific and technical support for multiple brands marketed by L’Oréal UK and Ireland across the entire division. Enable brands to make the most compelling product claims on communication materials including packaging and advertising consistent with European and national regulatory and advertising requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • High degree of analytical skills and think through creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building good effective relationships with internal and external contacts. Must be a team player.
  • Excellent command of the English language and its subtleties. With the ability to articulate and express ideas and concepts fluently and
  • persuasively both orally and in writing, particularly in simplifying complex scientific issues.
  • Ability to understand scientific material, internalise it rapidly and “translating” it into simple consumer language thus helping marketing departments formulating product claims. Open to reception of new ideas and willing to explore alternatives.
  • Leadership and management skills including coaching and training scientific teams.
    Pays attention to detail as well as looking at the wider picture.
